Main and Sub receivers configuration:
Here you can configurate all options for the main receiver and in addition connect two more receivers as so called “Sub” receivers. Please note, that only the main receiver is capable of handling additional telemetry values from sensors. Nevertheless the voltage supply and the signal quality for all sub receivers are available as well.
-
Receiver Type: Please choose the correct receiver type (Tiny, Clever, Smart, Micro, Gizmo), visualized be the picture. If you want to change the receiver type you have to confirm the warning. Please consider that changing the receiver type can remove or add servoplugs on so it could happen that some functions are not working proper any more.
-
Firmware: Here you see the firmware version of the connected receiver. Please make sure that the version is matching to the BAT firmware. If you want to update your receiver please consider the specific receiver manual.
-
The Battery Live shows the voltage of the connected receiver. Please make sure that your battery is always in perfect condition.
-
BATTERY WARNING, please adjust a threshold according to the minimum battery voltage. This threshold is safety relevant and we strongly recommend that you choose a conservative value here. The nominal voltage of the receiver battery pack is a good value for the beginning. Always check your batteries and make sure that they are fully charged. The radio will inform you whenever the threshold is reached:
The Gizmo series shows some more options:
3 x beep and simultaneous red LED blinking-
Battery Switching Warning Threshold, whenever the main battery (Batt 1) voltage gets below the adjusted threshold the gizmo receiver will switch to the reserve battery (Batt 2), depending on the situation the switching can take some milliseconds. For power supply we recommend to use 2 identical batteries:
- two 2 cell Lipo pack (nominal voltage 7,4V) or
- two 3 cell LiFe pack (nominal voltage 9.9V)
- 6,8 Volt for 2 cell LiPo and
- 8,4 Volt for 3 cell LiFe
- Battery 1(main) and 2(backup) Test WARNING threshold, default is 0.3V. Upon switching ON the receiver, a battery test will be conducted. The main and backup battery packs will be subject to a 25 msec. 7 Amp load during which time the packs voltage drop will be measured. If either of the packs drops their voltage below the pre-set value the red “Battery” LED will illuminate.
- Test Button, press to maintain a battery test and see the drop of the Voltage of each battery.
-
Battery Switching Warning Threshold, whenever the main battery (Batt 1) voltage gets below the adjusted threshold the gizmo receiver will switch to the reserve battery (Batt 2), depending on the situation the switching can take some milliseconds. For power supply we recommend to use 2 identical batteries:
-
RANGE WARNING, this threshold gives you the chance to adjust the warning whenever you are reaching the maximum operating distance. So you know that you should come closer to avoid loss of control. The radio will give you a warning by reaching the threshold.
2 x beep and simultaneous red LED blinking -
BACK CHANNEL WARNING, this threshold informs you about the quality of the backchannel. The “Back Channel” provides information from the receiver to the radio, which includes information like receiver voltage supply, all kind of sensor values and also the signal quality. Another words if the “Back Channel” is gone there will be no data cming from the receiver to the transmitter. The radio will give you a warning by reaching the threshold.
1 x beep and simultaneous red LED blinking -
Fail Safe Timeout, whenever there is no connection to the radio, the receiver will adjust the “failsafe” position after this timeout.
-
Sum Signal Output, The last physical plug at the receiver is used as output for the “standard” PPM signal (for example the Tiny 5 uses plug-5 and the Smart 8 uses the plug-8). Meanwhile there is also the very common SRXL protocol available. The SRXL protocol is using servo- plug 1.
- Standard PPM signal
- SRXL Multiplex 12 and SRXL Multiplex 16
- SRXL weatronic 16
NOTE: The Micro-Series and the Gizmo-Series are not capable of this option. -
Is Sum Signal Off While Fail Safe, choose here if the “Sum Signal” should be deactivated if the Fail Safe position is applied.
-
Servo-Puls Synchron… , check the “weatronic - servo excitation” information at the download overview section at www.weatronic.com. If the output is synchronized be aware of the extreme high load to the power supply of the receiver. We recommend to use only proper BEC (Battery Eliminating Circuit) units which can handle enough high current.

Temperature Warning threshold (this feature will be available soon)

BINDING button, press here to start the binding process. The BAT 60 will start to search for weatronic receivers which are also in “binding mode”. You will see a progress pop-up. The pop-up will disappear when the binding process was successful or if you press the “Binding Stop” button.
